Picture this: Taupo, New Zealand, 1999. A small tourist town of 20,000 people. In a corner of his parents’ laundry, Michael MacDonald launched HyperHotels. Back then, the internet was new, and websites were a novelty. Michael didn’t just build websites—he made them findable, pioneering Search Engine Marketing for hotels. From that humble laundry, a global legacy began.
